Pale Waves’ new song ‘Noises’ addresses mental health and insecurity – listen

It's another teaser of the band's 14-track debut album

Pale Waves have shared a new song from their forthcoming record.

‘Noises’ will feature on the Manchester quartet’s debut, which is expected to be released in August.

The track follows May’s release, ‘Kiss’. Earlier this year, they released their debut EP, ‘All The Things I’ve Never Said’, which included previous singles ‘New Year’s Eve’ and ‘My Obsession’.

‘Noises’ features lyrics about mental health and body insecurity:

My mind makes noises too much
I feel like I’m slowly losing myself
I’m afraid that I need help

Why do I stare so much at my body?
I’m falling, I’m crawling on the floor at night
I know it’s not right but you can’t fix me this time

Speaking about the record, drummer Ciara Doran told NME in February: “You can’t not aim for a number one. I think it deserves it as well. We’ve only written half of it, but that half deserves it!”

When the band was asked if the album would have much in common with their previous material, Heather Baron-Gracie replied: “You know, they’re pretty similar but the album is more of like a ‘Pale Waves world’. So will have those sort of sad songs, but you will also have those banging singles.”

The band told Dork magazine’s July issue that six tracks have been recorded so far.
