Diplo has shared his first “country” song for his new project, Thomas Wesley.
The DJ and producer, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, teamed up with Nashville singer Cam on ‘So Long’.
The track is the first of several upcoming collaborations with country artists, according to a press release. You can watch a lyric video for the song below. Diplo, meanwhile, also shared a short clip on his Twitter page that sees him petting pigs and lamenting dropping fresh eggs on the ground.

The song comes before Diplo’s headline set at the official after-party for country music festival Stagecoach this weekend (April 28). The star will appear on the Palomino Stage for the festival’s first late night event.
Meanwhile, Diplo has collaborated with a host of stars on recent tracks, including Ellie Goulding and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee on ‘Close To Me’. He is also one half of Silk City, alongside Mark Ronson, who won Best Dance Recording at this year’s Grammys for their Dua Lipa-featuring single ‘Electricity’.
The producer recently released his album with Sia and Labrinth under the moniker LSD. In a three-star review, NME said of ‘Labrinth, Sia, Diplo present… LSD’: “If it’s a collection of tried-and-tested bangers you’re after, showcasing three pop powerhouses at their proven best, then crack on. In search of a left-field album of crate-digging curveballs? You’re best looking elsewhere.”
