Tickets will be distributed from the following places:

London Carling Hammersmith Apollo

Additionally, following talks with the Metropolitan Police, the London event will now continue until 9.30pm.

Commenting on the extra tickets organiser Sir Bob Geldof said: “This is going to be the biggest event in Hyde Park’s history and the biggest ticketed event ever in the UK. The park will be filled to the brim. In other cities around the country and around the world millions of people will be joining in to make poverty history. It will be one of those defining moments that come around once in a generation.”

For those who don’t get tickets, Live 8 have also arranged for the concert to be shown on giant outdoor screens around the UK in order to discourage ticketless fans from gathering in London.

The concert will be shown on screens in the following places: Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Hull, Wrexham, Inverness, Leeds, Cardiff, Gateshead/Newcastle, Belfast, Jersey, Guernsey, Bournemouth/ Plymouth, and Birmingham.
