The school will offer 20 students a full or partial scholarship for music degrees
The London College Of Creative Media are offering over £300,000 in music scholarships to students.
The college, which was founded in 2002, is located in Southwark and offers a variety of courses including music industry management, creative and professional writing, and music performance and production.
Now, they have announced 20 prospective music students will receive a scholarship towards a music degree. Of that number, 10 will be full scholarships, while the remaining 10 will be partial.
The spots can be won at the college’s open days later this month. Prospective students will be able to learn about the courses on offer, visit the Music Box campus, meet tutors and take part in classes and workshops.
They will also be able to audition for their chance to receive a scholarship. There will be seven categories – pianists, bassists, guitarists, drummers, saxophone and trumpet players, singers, songwriters, and solo artists. As well as obtaining a place at the college, winners will be able to attend LCCM gigs and masterclasses throughout the year, while victorious solo artists and songwriters will have one of their songs produced by an expert producer at the school.
In a press release, LCCM Principal Darius Khwaja said: “We are looking forward to finding the most talented musicians and welcoming them to our college. This is a fantastic opportunity for all prospective students to take part in this great competition, and have a chance to win a scholarship towards their music degree.
“We believe it will be a great experience for all participants and their personal musical development,” he added. “At LCCM, we will develop your passion for music and help you take your career to the next level.”
To enter, students must register on the LCCM scholarship competition event page and select a date and category. The open days will be held on August 11, 18, 19 and 25.
