Lorde reveals she is ‘making tunes’ with Disclosure

Singer-songwriter previously teamed up with the UK duo at the 2014 Brit Awards

Lorde has revealed on Twitter that she is “making tunes” with Disclosure.

The singer-songwriter previously teamed up with the UK duo at the 2014 Brit Awards, where they performed a mash-up of her hit ‘Royals’ and their single ‘White Noise’ that was later made available to download. However, this is the first time she has worked on original material with the duo.

Last month (May) Lorde gave fans an update on the progress of her second album. The singer revealed on Tumblr that she “took a few months off” at the beginning of the year and is now “just getting into making the next body of work”. “[It’s] very exciting and scary but so validating,” she added, before explaining that she is “taking my time to make the new [music] as good as I can”.

Her producer and co-writer Joel Little, who also worked with Lorde on her 2013 debut album ‘Pure Heroine’, recently revealed that the singer is “trying new things” for her next LP.

Meanwhile, Disclosure announced their own second album ‘Caracal’ on Sunday (June 7). The album, the group’s follow-up to 2013’s ‘Settle’, will be released September 25 and is available to pre-order now. It is likely to include recent single ‘Holding On’, which features vocals from jazz singer Gregory Porter. Disclosure have previously promised that other “big names” will appear on the record.
