Lorde performs ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ on ‘The Tonight Show’ – watch

New Zealander also sits down for interview with host Jimmy Fallon

Lorde appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (November 25), performing ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ on the US chat show.

The track is taken from the new soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1, which the New Zealander herself curated. Other artists to feature on the recently-released LP include Kanye West, Tinashe, Haim, Charli XCX, Q-Tip, Pusha T and The Chemical Brothers.

The 18-year-old also took time to chat with host Fallon, revealing why she chose the stage name ‘Lorde’ and remembering an incident when she was mistaken for Taylor Swift’s manager. Click below to watch the performance and interview clips.

Lorde also performed the track at the American Music Awards last Sunday (November 23), emerging from within a cell-like cube which was lit with coloured light before bursting out onto the stage.
