Is Lorde going to play unreleased ‘Melodrama’ tracks on her next tour?

"I may or may not have dug up a song that we wrote"

Lorde has teased the possibility of playing songs that didn’t make the final cut of Melodrama.

The exciting prospect was teased in a recent Instagram post that saw the singer offer an update on the next leg of her ongoing Melodrama tour – which begins again next month.

“Just wanted to drop you a message that tour rehearsals are going well. It’s all very exciting. I think you’re going to be quite excited for this tour”, she said.

“I may or may not have dug up a song that we wrote during the Melodrama sessions that didn’t make it. One that I really love.”

Last week, Lorde also won the Best International Solo Artist gong at the VO5 NME Awards.

Accepting the award via video message, she said: “Oh my goodness, this is crazy. I’m just blown away. I’m currently in bed in New Zealand, thinking about how NME understood ‘Green Light’ like almost no-one else and how warm that makes me feel. I hope we can all do a shoot together soon.”

After a triumphant show at London’s Alexandra Palace last year, Lorde will return to London for an All Points East Show supporting The XX, along with an appearance at Manchester’s Parklife Festival.
