Band aiming to make Shred yr Face tour 'special'

Los Campesinos! kicked off their biggest headline yet tour at Brighton‘s Komedia last night (October 14).

The Cardiff band are headlining as part of the eight date Shred yr Face tour, also featuring No Age and Times New Viking.

The group raced through an hour long set comprising of songs from their debut ‘Hold On Now Youngster…’ and second record ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’, which was released this week.

Speaking to NME.COM before the show, Gareth Campesinos! spoke about the ethos behind the band’s self-curated tour.

“I don’t think enough bands make enough effort to makes things special,” he declared. “There’s often a really big gap between music fans and so-called musicians and we want to narrow the gap between the people playing the gig and the people watching. There are so many ways for people to get involved. Its certainly the future for our touring.”
