Lostprophets are to include some very different B-sides with their forthcoming single ‘LAST SUMMER’.

Released on August 23 to tie in with their appearance at this year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals (August 27-29), the single will feature the Welsh nu-metallers tear through cover versions of songs by Rachel Stevens, The Strokes, [/a] and The Cure.

‘Last Summer’ will come out on 2 CDs plus limited edition 7″ coloured vinyl. CD1 will include a version of Stevens’ ‘Sweet Dreams My LA Ex’, while CD2 will feature covers of The Strokes‘ ‘Reptilia’ (performed during the band’s set at this year’s Glastonbury), [a]’ ‘In The Air Tonight’ and interactive video footage.

The 7″ vinyl will include The Cure‘s ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ on the flipside.

Affetr spending most of this year touring the US, [a][/a] will be touring the UK in November.
