Lou Reed lets Susan Boyle cover ‘Perfect Day’ after all

After 'crying' over TV snub, Britain's Got Talent singer includes Velvet Underground man's song on new album

Lou Reed has relented and allowed Susan Boyle to cover ‘Perfect Day’ after all.

The Velvet Underground leader reportedly made the Britain’s Got Talent singer cry after refusing to let her perform the song on America’s Got Talent earlier this month.

However the song from the ‘Transformer’ album will now feature on Boyle‘s new record ‘The Gift’. There is no word from Reed as to why he has relented.

Along with several Christmas songs, the album is expected to feature covers of Leonard Cohen‘s ‘Hallelujah’ and Crowded House‘s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’.

The album is released on November 8.
