Loyle Carner has premiered his latest single ‘You Don’t Know’ and dropped its accompanying video, which stars his mum Jean – check out the clip below.
The song, which features Rebel Kleff and Kiko Bun, follows three months on from the release of ‘Ottolenghi’, which marked Carner’s first new solo material since the release of his acclaimed debut album ‘Yesterday’s Gone’.
‘You Don’t Know’ has dropped today (January 16), and its humorous video (which was directed by Louis Bhose) casts Carner as the lead as he watches over his mother, Jean Coyle-Larner, as she goes on a succession of dates – including one with Benjamin Zephaniah – at a fancy restaurant.
“Thank goodness for Loyle Carner,” NME’s four-star review of his debut stated back in 2017. “British hip-hop has often been dismissed as lacking the bite, punch and sheer skills of its American counterpart, but 22-year-old Ben Coyle-Larner has stacks of talent, some seriously good tunes and some highly decent connections… British hip-hop finally got serious – and Loyle Carner is leading the charge.”
Carner will set out on a sold-out UK and Ireland tour in April – see the dates below.
