The beauty walks out on Lucy Pearl just months after the release of their debut album...

Former EN VOGUE member DAWN ROBINSON has left R&B supergroup LUCY PEARL just months after the release of their eponymous debut album.

She will be replaced by Joi, a singer who in the past has worked with Dallas Austin, Organized Noise, and The Goodie Mob. Joi is already rehearsing with Raphael Saadiq and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, the original driving members of Lucy Pearl for an upcoming tour, the dates of which are yet to be finalised, and work on the band’s second album.

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg and Q-Tip, Ali’s former Tribe Called Quest compadre, are set feature in the forthcoming video for ‘You’, Lucy Pearl’s new single.

The video will be shot in Los Angeles on November 12 and 13 and the single released to US radio on November 27.

No reason has been given for Robinson’s departure, however the album did not perform on the US chart as well as expected. It peaked at Number 26 on release in May.
