The former friends have exchanged heated words online in the past
Fiasco and Cudi were once close friends but fell out earlier this year after Fiasco was embroiled in a Twitter row with Azealia Banks over political comments made by Kendrick Lamar.
Cudi appeared to criticise Fiasco at the time, tweeting: “Dear black artists, don’t talk down on the black community like you are Gods gift to n****z everywhere.”
Speaking at a show in Milwaukee over the weekend, Fiasco told the crowd: “To all my enemies, you are now forgiven. Except Kid Cudi ’cause that’s not my motherfucking buddy. If I see him in the streets, it’s getting motherfucking ugly.”
He continued: “I know you might be a fan, me and him share similar shit and you like, ‘Damn!’ But that don’t matter, they gonna be back into the chatter.”
Fiasco later claimed that he had “let go” of the dispute with Cudi, saying: “I’ma let that shit with fuckin’ Cudi go. I want you to let go of a grudge, let go of something that’s hanging over your head. Don’t terrorise yourself thinking about what you’re going to do and what somebody has done to you.”
Fiasco later tweeted the now-deleted messages: “I had a moment… I let it go though… he’s still a fucking sucker in my opinion… but trust me when I say that guy is foul… no shade all truth… all foul.”
