Lupen Crook And The Murderbirds announce free charity EP

'Curse Of The Mirror Wicked' aims to help mental health charity YoungMinds

Lupen Crook And The Murderbirds have announced details of a free download EP.

The six-track ‘Curse Of The Mirror Wicked’ EP is available to download now from Lupencrookandthemurderbirds.co.uk. Although it’s free, the band are encouraging fans to make a donation to the YoungMinds charity, which supports children suffering from emotional and mental health issues.

Frontman Lupen Crook, who was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in his teens, revealed that the EP and choice of charity were both influenced by his condition.

“Mental illnesses remain an awkward subject and I have been keen to tackle that,” he explained. “Living with schizoaffective disorder on a day-to-day basis is simply learning to live with yourself. It is not any more or less difficult than anybody else’s struggles and strifes, because it’s all relative to who you are and how that feels. For the majority of time I can operate and live comfortably being the twisted and often troubled individual I am.”

The tracklisting for ‘Curse Of The Mirror Wicked’ is:

‘Sunshine Devils’
‘Devil’s Son’
‘Boy That Won’t Be Told’
‘Love Underground’
‘Of Lovers And Lost Children’
‘Dead Girls And Daggers’

Crook added that the band are currently working on their third album, which is due for release in early 2010.
