Police left bemused after the tomb of Ronnie Van Zant and a mausoleum containing Steve Gaines' ashes are opened...

A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the conviction of vandals who wrecked the graves of two Lynyrd Skynyrd members in FLORIDA.

The tomb of Ronnie Van Zant and a mausoleum containing the ashes of Steve Gaines were opened last week in Jacksonville Memory Gardens, according to a report on American website Jam Music. Singer Van Zant‘s coffin was pulled out but left unopened and guitarist Gaines‘ ashes were spilled out.

The pair, who were founding members of the group, were killed in a plane crash in October 1977.
