Fans complained that thousands of 'MDNA World Tour' discs had been affected
All Blu-Ray copies of Madonna‘s ‘MDNA World Tour’ sold in the US have been recalled by Interscope Records following complaints about the sound and visual quality of the release.
News of the recall was announced by Interscope on their official RedditFacebook page. Blaming “an error in manufacturing”, the short statement explained that the error has compromised the 5.1 audio in the US but that “no other markets will be affected”.
Billboard reports that ‘MDNA World Tour’ home video debuted at Number One on Billboard’s Music Video Sales chart last week, selling 11,000 combined DVDs and Blu-rays in its first week on sale.
Meanwhile, Madonna has revealed that she wants to collaborate with Daft Punk. The pop superstar took part in an “Ask Madonna Almost Anything” session on Reddit last week (September 17) and told fans: “I would love to work with Daft Punk,” before adding that she is “just waiting for them to return my call”.
During the Q&A session, Madonna also hinted that a new album could be on its way in 2014, telling fans: “there might be…my creative juices are flowing….” The singer released her last studio album, ‘MDNA’, in 2012 and saw it become her 12th Number One on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
