Madonna hires five ‘decoy clones’ to confuse photographers

Queen of Pop doesn't want to get papped 24/7 on new tour

Madonna has hired a group of decoy clones to confuse photographers on her ‘MDNA’ tour, according to reports.

With the Queen of Pop about to embark on her ‘MDNA’ tour, the National Enquirer reports that she’s so determined not to be hounded by the paparazzi that she’s hired five look-alikes to deflect attention.

“It was her own idea – and she conceived it both for protection and to stay private while enjoying down time,” said the insider. “Five ladies will be made up to look like dead ringers, and Madonna’s personally giving them lessons right now on how to walk, talk and act like her.

“On the tour, her ‘clone quintet’ will be sent out ahead of her to act as diversions when she exits hotels, restaurants, concert halls, or any public venue,” they added. “It’s a brilliant decoy plan, and she’s betting it will work!”

Madonna found herself in hot water last week for supposedly glamorising drug use. She reportedly asked a crowd at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami if they had “seen Molly”, using Stateside slang for the drug MDMA, and subsequently became embroiled in a Twitter spat with producer Deadmau5 after he criticised her comments.

The controversy hasn’t put people off from buying Madge’s records, however – last weekend (April 1), she overtook Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most Number One albums in the UK after her new LP, ‘MDNA’, hit the top spot in the Official UK Albums Chart. She has now scooped 12 Number One albums in her career.
