Madonna perfume ad deemed ‘too raunchy’ for US television – video

'Truth Or Dare' clip is digitally altered and prevented from being aired before 9pm

A perfume advert featuring Madonna has been considered too raunchy for US television.

The clip, which you can view by scrolling down and clicking below, shows the singer wearing black lingerie and a mask while her track ‘Girl Gone Wild’ plays out. Earlier this month, the official video for that song was also deemed too inappropriate by YouTube and is now not available to view by anyone under 18.

Similarly, the ‘Truth Or Dare’ perfume ad has been deemed “too sexy” to air by ABC and producers were told to digitally alter it, according to the New York Post.

Among the content changes that have reportedly been requested are digitally altering the singer’s bra to make it bigger and extend higher, covering more of her chest, and also making her corset longer to cover more of her bottom.

ABC also wants to cut another suggestive scene where Madonna writhes around.

ABC will also only air the perfume ad after 9pm, with the exception of the daytime talk show The View.

Madonna’s 12th album ‘MDNA’ was released on Monday (March 26) and looks to be heading straight for the top of the UK albums chart this weekend.
