Madonna says she is being ‘silenced’ after power is cut at Glasgow concert – watch

Singer blames organisers at SSE Hydro as technical problems hit her 'Rebel Heart' tour again

Madonna‘s ‘Rebel Heart’ tour encountered further technical problems last night (December 20) following a power cut at her show in Glasgow.

In a similar manner to her gig in Manchester last week, her concert at the SSE Hydro started late and ran over time. The singer criticised the venue for cutting the power during her encore and took to Instagram to make her feelings known.

Madonna wrote: “We don’t stop till its over Glasgow! Don’t try to silence the Queen”. See her post beneath.

Officials at the Hydro said it was Madonna’s own production team who disconnected the power.

A spokeswoman for the venue told The Scotsman: “Madonna finished her agreed set and then chose to come on for another song. By that stage, all the power and control equipment had already been disconnected by her own production engineers. I would stress that this was not a venue decision.”

The Glasgow show was the singer’s last on her current UK tour. Last week Madonna, labelled her own fans “bitches” after being booed for arriving onstage an hour late at her Manchester show.
