Madonna is set to launch an adult clothing line.
Her new fashion label will be called Truth or Dare and will launch in 2012. The target audience is women aged 27 to 50 and the line will include footwear, handbags and underwear. The pop star already runs the teen fashion range Material Girl, which is fronted by her daughter Lourdes Leon and modelled by Kelly Osbourne.
There will also be a Truth or Dare perfume, which will be available from March 26 in the United States, exclusively at department store Macys, reports Rolling Stone. Of the fragrance, Madonna told WWD: “[My mother] always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to recreate this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well. Something honest and yet daring — hence the name Truth or Dare.”
Last month it was reported that Madonna is planning a huge gig at London’s Hyde Park to coincide with the 2012 Olympics. The singer is “determined” to make her live comeback in the capital next summer, The Sun claimed.
Madonna is also rumoured to be performing at the Super Bowl half-time show in Indianapolis next February as she gears up the promotional campaign for her next album, which she is working on with producer William Orbit.
