Madonna has reportedly agreed to perform during next year’s Super Bowl half-time show.
According to sports site SB Nation, the iconic ‘Like A Virgin’ singer has signed a deal to perform at Super Bowl XLVI.
The annual Super Bowl is one of the most-watched sports events in the world, with a half-time performance guaranteeing unprecedented levels of exposure for any artist.
Black Eyed Peas performed during last year’s game, with Janet Jackson, Prince, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and The Who all appearing in recent years.
Spokespeople for the NFL have declined to comment on the report, while Madonna’s representatives told Entertainment Weekly that there is “nothing to confirm at this point”.
Madonna recently revealed she’s planning to release a new single, taken from her pending 12th studio album, in February or March 2012.
The 2012 Super Bowl will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 5.
