Madonna is to play a free, one-off live show in NEW YORK on November 5.
According to US website [url=]www.sonicnet.com, Madonna will perform at the New York Roseland Ballroom, with tickets being made available through competitions on local radio stations.
Also performing at the event will be Beth Orton, with a DJ set from former Jane’s Addiction and Porno For Pyros vocalist Perry Farrell.
Speaking in a statement about the proposed show, Madonna said: “It?s a chance for me to get my feet wet on the stage again and a way to say thank you to an intimate group of my fans for all their support over the years. It’s a party that 3,000 people are invited to, and I am going to sing a few songs at my party.”
In a statement posted on the official Madonna website [url=]www.madonnamusic.com, she revealed that other shows are being lined up in London, Paris and “a few other places in Europe”. The shows are said to be “small, intimate performances in clubs”.
Rumours Madonna is due to play a show at the London Brixton Academy in November however, are still to be confirmed.
