Superstar singer Madonna contributes backing vocals on the new LP by Mirwais...

Madonna has provided guest vocals on the debut album by underground French dance maverick Mirwais, who is returning the favour by producing part of her eagerly-awaited new album.

The superstar sings on a track called ‘Paradise (Not For Me)’ from Mirwais‘ debut LP ‘Production’, out through Epic on May 15. The first track to be released from the long-player is ‘Disco Science’, out on May 8.

According to a spokesperson for Mirwais, he was introduced to Madonna by their mutual friend, video director and photographer Stephane Sednaoui.

Mirwais commented: “It’s surprising to find myself working with the most famous artist in the world. But in the studio you forget it. She’s a simple, normal, sociable person with a really good sense of humour.”

Mirwais is currently in London writing and producing a number of tracks which are expected to feature on Madonna‘s forthcoming album.

Famed house DJ and remixer Sasha is also working on Madonna‘s album, as is William Orbit, who produced her critically-acclaimed 1998 album Ray Of Light.
