Madge's performance as an art dealer in 'Up For Grabs' impresses a preview audience...
MADONNA has made her acting debut in LONDON’s WEST END.
As previously reported, the singer is playing the role of an art dealer in the comedy ‘Up For Grabs’ at the Wyndhams Theatre.
Last night (May 14), she made her debut to an appreciative reaction from the 700 fans who got tickets for a preview night – no press were allowed in at this early stage.
One fan, Victoria Bateman, 32, told BBC news: “I thought she was a lot better than expected, she was excellent.”
Another fan, Malva Green, added: “She was nervous to start with but got a lot better.”
One London newspaper, The Evening Standard, has seen the show, and as well as commenting on her nervous opening lines, approved of her performance – concluding “the girl done good”.
The production opens later this month (May 23), and is scheduled to run for ten weeks.
