Madonna says Brits fall was ‘the most embarrassing moment of her life’

Madge also stresses her annoyance to have not yet met President Obama

Madonna has labelled her recent fall at the Brit Awards as “the most embarrassing moment of my life”.

Madonna made headlines recently following a highly publicised fall at last month’s Brit Awards. The star fell backwards down a flight of stairs at the event after an Armani cape she was wearing did not come loose in time and a dancer pulled it while still fastened.

Madonna previously explained she was with a doctor until 3am following her tumble and suffered whiplash, whilst Giorgio Armani recently blamed Madonna for the fall and branded the pop star as “difficult”.

The singer addressed the fall later, saying: “If I wasn’t in good shape, I wouldn’t have survived that fall. But I’m strong. I know how to fall – I ride horses. And I have core strength, and I know that saved me. That and my guardian angels.”

Now, the star has told US Weekly: “The most embarrassing moment of my life was falling off stage – let me rephrase that, being choked off the stage by two little Japanese girls – at the 2015 Brit Awards. Extremely embarrassing!”

Madonna also told the publication that she’s annoyed to have not yet met Barack Obama. “The person I most want to meet is President Obama,” she said. “When the heck am I going to meet him? He just needs to invite me to the White House already. He probably thinks I’m too shocking to be there. I’m serious. If I was a little bit more demure… or if I was just married to Jay Z. Hey, if Jay would only take me as his second wife, then I’d score an invitation.”

Madonna’s new album ‘Rebel Heart’ was released earlier this month (March 9). The singer tours the UK in December.

Madonna will play:

London O2 (December 1)
Manchester Arena (14)
Birmingham Barclaycard Arena (16)
Glasgow SSE Hydro (20)
