MAN FINED FOR HIDING IN MADONNA’S ORGAN

Robert Podesta pays a heavy price for filming little Rocco's christening...

A man who hid in church and filmed the christening of MADONNA and GUY RITCHIE’s child ROCCO in SCOTLAND has been fined £1,000.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Robert Podesta, 51, who hid in the church at the christening the couple’s child Rocco last December pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Dornoch Sheriff Court earlier in the month.

Although no press were allowed inside the church for the ceremony, he hid behind the organ pipes of Dornoch Cathedral the day before the christening on December 21 taking food, drinks and black bin liners to use as portable toilets. He filmed the entire ceremony, including Sting singing ‘Ave Maria’.

However, he was caught by security guards as he tried to leave the cathedral an hour after the ceremony, and attempted to fool the police by switching video tapes and hiding the one with the christening footage on it.

Now, according to BBC news, he has been fined £1,000.

Back in court this morning, Sheriff Ian Cameron described Podesta’s actions as a “clandestine intrusion on a private religious ceremony”.
