Singer tells Jonathan Ross her daughter said ‘Mum, really?’ after flashing her backside at the Grammys
Madonna has revealed that her daughter Lourdes disapproves of what she wears, after the singer flashed her backside at the Grammys in February.
In an interview for ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show to be broadcast on Saturday (March 14), Madonna said that her 18-year-old daughter is the more strait-laced of the pair.
Madonna said: “If Lola is around, she’ll give me the once over and say ‘Oh mum, you are not leaving the house like that.’ She took a picture of my butt sticking out at the Grammys and sent it to back to me, saying ‘Mum, really?’ I said it was a wardrobe malfunction.”
The singer, whose album Rebel Heart was released this week, said “a devilish voice” caused her to flash her rear at the ceremony. She explained that the incident happened as she finished walking the red carpet of photographers. Madonna said: “After I left the big photography pen, that naughty devilish voice said ‘Lift up your skirt’ and I did. Sometimes I tune into that voice and sometimes I turn it off completely.”
Rebel Heart looks set to be Number One in the UK charts this weekend, outselling its nearest competitor Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds by 3:1, according to compilers Official Charts Company.
Madonna tours in December. Tickets go on sale on Monday (March 16).
