'Rebel Heart' singer also planning collaboration with Drake
Speaking in a new interview with Complex, Madonna confirmed that her collaboration with West is set to continue. West has produced four songs for Madonna’s new album ‘Rebel Heart’, due for release on Monday (March 9).
“He ended up only working on four songs, and then we wrote another song together, which is going to be on his record,” she said.
Similarly, there are plans for the singer to team up with Drake in the future. “We’re gonna work together,” she said. “Yeah, baby, it’s in the pipeline.” Drake paid tribute to Madonna on his 2015 mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This Its Too Late’ on the track ‘Madonna’.
Madonna recently labelled West as a “brilliant madman” and “beautiful mess”.
“It’s really hard to describe Kanye in one sentence,” the pop icon said in a recent interview. “He’s a brilliant madman. He can’t help himself. Like, he doesn’t have the same filters other people have. He has to blurt things out – he’s always saying inappropriate stuff. But he also has brilliant ideas… I feel like the music business needs him, because everyone’s become so politically correct, so safe. I don’t always agree with the things he says or does – I don’t always like his music, even. But he’s a beautiful mess. I love him.”
West recently released new song ‘All Day’ which will feature on his new album ‘So Help Me God’. Madonna releases her album ‘Rebel Heart’ on March 9. The singer has also announced details of four UK arena dates as part of a wider world tour.
She will play in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow in December as part of The Rebel Heart tour in December. The tour begins in August in Miami before arriving in Europe via Southeast Asia and Australia.
Madonna will play:
London O2 Arena (December 1)
Manchester Manchester Arena (14)
Birmingham Barclaycard Arena (16)
Glasgow The SSE Hydro (20)
