'Forever Delayed' is said to sound "awesome"...

Manic Street Preachers have finished recording their new single.

A source revealed exclusively to NME.COM last week that it will be called ‘Forever Delayed’ and be released in October.

The source said it was vintage Manic Street Preachers: “It’s awesome. It sounds like a stadium record. If they rebuilt Cardiff Arms Park on the moon.”

The single, produced by Steve Osbourne, was recorded in Wales for inclusion on the band’s forthcoming Greatest Hits album which is also due for release in October.

Another new track and possible single is also being recorded with Mike Hedges in a London studio for the forthcoming album, though there were no details available as NME.COM went to press.

The tracklisting of the Greatest Hits package has also yet to be decided – though NME.COM understands the working title is also ‘Forever Delayed’.
