Hometown fans in Cardiff queue for up to 15 hours to get their hands on 'Forever Delayed'...
Almost one hundred fanatical Manic Street Preachers fans braved horrific weather conditions to be the first to own ‘FOREVER DELAYED’ last night.
‘Forever Delayed’, a compilation of the band’s greatest hits, was released across the UK today (October 28). However, the Virgin Megastore in Cardiff opened at midnight – allowing hometown fans the opportunity to be amongst the first to own the album.
Despite the worst rainstorms Wales has seen in years dampening spirits, some fans queued for more than 15 hours.
Store manager Nigel Holmes told BBC news: “We opened the doors at midnight and stayed open for an hour or so until the last person bought their copy. It was really impressive to see so many people waiting for the album despite the horrendous weather conditions. It shows what a dedicated fanbase the Manic Street Preachers have in Wales.”
