The Manics are set to play both of their new singles on 'Top Of The Pops'...

MANIC STREET PREACHERS are to perform both of their new singles, ‘SO WHY SO SAD’ and ‘FOUND THAT SOUL’, on ‘TOP OF THE POPS’ on February 9, marking their first television appearance in over a year, NME.COM can reveal .

The two tracks are released simultaneously on March 5 via Epic. The band will play both singles live on the BBC music show, almost a month before they are released to the public. The filming will take place just a few days before the band fly out to Cuba to perform their first live show in over a year at the Karl Marx Theatre in Havana, on February 17.

A spokesperson for ‘Top Of The Pops’ said: “They’re coming in the week before they go out, and are going to play both tracks fully live. We did a similar thing when Blur released ‘Music Is My Radar’, and it worked really well.”

It is anticipated that tickets for the show will be made available via competition prizes on the official Manics website [url=] in the coming days, and the filming will take place next week.

The long-awaited new Manic Street Preachers album, ‘Know Your Enemy’, is released on March 26 via Epic.
