Mansun are to play two more low-key gigs in the run-up to their V2000 appearance, and a sound clip of their new single has been made available via their official website, nme.com can reveal.
The band will play the 400-capacity Bury St Edmunds Corn Exchange on July 31, followed by the Colchester Arts Centre on August 1. Tickets for the Colchester show are available now via the Arts Centre box office priced #9, while tickets for the Bury St Edmunds show are not on sale yet, but are expected to be available in local shops within the next seven days.
These two dates are in addition to two previously confirmed shows at the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (August 17) and Brighton Concorde (18). The band then appear on the second stage at the V2000 festival at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of August 19-20.
Also, an audio clip from the band’s forthcoming single, ‘I Can Only Disappoint U’ has been made available via the band’s official website [url=]www.mansun.co.uk. The single is not due for release until July 31.
Following the single, Mansun release their third album, ‘Little Kix’ on August 14 through Parlophone. The album has been produced by Mike Hunter, who worked on Mansun‘s last two albums, and Hugh Padgham, who has also produced Lenny Kravitz, The Police and Genesis.
