Carey will play a series of gigs in March next year
Mariah Carey will tour the UK in March next year.
Carey’s 2016 live dates include gigs at arenas in England and Wales, starting at Leeds’ First Direct Arena on March 17. She will then visit Manchester Arena on March 18 before gigs at Birmingham Barclaycard Arena (March 20) and Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena (March 21).
The five-date arena tour will conclude with a headline show at London’s O2 Arena on March 23. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 18 December.
Mariah Carey released her latest album, ‘I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’, in 2014. Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that she will appear in the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie.
The singer and occasional actress will voice Gotham’s police chief Commissioner Gordon. Traditionally the role been portrayed as male. Ben McKenzie currently plays Commissioner Gordon in Batman prequel series Gotham, while Gary Oldman took on the role in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
Carey joins an already impressive voice cast led by Will Arnett, who is reprising his role as Batman from The Lego Movie, as well as Michael Cera, who is voicing Robin, and Rosario Dawson, who is voicing Batgirl.
