MARILYN MANSON has pleaded not guilty to a sexual misconduct and sexual assault charge in a MICHIGAN court stemming from allegations that he assaulted a security guard at a DETROIT show during July.

Manson, real name Brian Warner, was not at the Oakland County District Court hearing to face the charge on Friday (September 21). Judge Gerald McNally entered the innocent plea on his behalf. Manson was bailed on a $25,000 bond to return to court on October 9.

Manson allegedly rubbed his crotch against the neck and head of the guard during a July 30 Ozzfest concert at Clarkston’s DTE Energy Theater. According to the Detroit Free Press, his lawyer Walter J Piszczatowski hopes to get the charges dismissed at the October preliminary examination.

The charge is a fourth degree sexual conduct offence and punishable by up to two years in prison.
