Marilyn Manson releases his new single, ‘Rock Is Dead’, on June 14 through Maverick.
The track, which looks set to become Manson‘s biggest UK hit yet, is taken from Manson‘s current album ‘Mechanical Animals’. It also appears on the soundtrack of forthcoming Keanu Reeves sci-fi action film The Matrix, which has already broken box-office records in the US.
Both Manson and the film have been blamed in certain quarters for being bad influences on Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who shot dead 12 students and a teacher at Columbine High School in Denver, Colorado recently.
The soundtrack to The Matrix features new Ministry track ‘Bad Blood’, plus tracks from Propellerheads, Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine and The Deftones. It is released on June 21 through WEA.
