The star looks set to cause yet more controversy over the promo for 'The Fight Song'...

MARILYN MANSON looks likely to reignite controversy over the COLUMBINE massacre with the video for his new single ‘THE FIGHT SONG’, due to be released on January 29 through NOTHING/INTERSCOPE.

According to sources close to the band, Manson is filming the video to the song at a sports stadium, with opposing teams of jocks and goth rockers locked in battle.

The theme echoes the 1999 Columbine massacre where the self-styled Trenchcoat Mafia, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris shot and killed their classmates after complaining about their ‘jock mentality’.

At the time of the tragedy, Manson was vilified in the tabloid press for influencing the killers with his music. Although it was later proved that neither Klebold or Harris were fans of Manson, this new video seems like another response to his critics.

‘The Fight Song’ is the second single to be taken from Manson’s current album ‘Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death)’.
