23 people were arrested on Wednesday after Marilyn Manson stormed offstage at a gig at Five Seasons Centre in Iowa.
According to a report in the LA Times, Manson went into a rage when he saw that someone had stuck a smiley face onto one of his stage props that looked like a pulpit and walked off, cutting short the performance.
The crowd then became rowdy, storming Manson‘s tour bus and assaulting a police officer. It’s not known whether those arrested were Manson fans or protestors; at his show in Minneapolis, Manson attracted a crowd of demonstrators demanding that the show be pulled following the Littleton massacre. Manson himself has cancelled the remainder of his US tour.
