Track is second to be released from new album out in January
Marilyn Manson has unveiled a new single from his forthcoming ninth studio album ‘The Pale Emperor’.
Track ‘Deep Six’ is the second track to be taken from the new album, following on from ‘Third Day of a Seven Day Binge’, which was released in October.
‘The Pale Emperor’ is due for release on January 19 via Cooking Vinyl Records and includes contributions from band members Manson and Twiggy Ramirez as well as producer Tyler Bates, Stolen Babies percussionist Gil Sharone, and Shooter Jennings.
Last week, Marilyn Manson broke his silence over the controversial video clip that was released under his name featuring a staged rape of Lana Del Rey, saying that although he was present at various points during the filming of the video, the rape scene was never intended to be part of a Marilyn Manson video.
The singer told NME: “It wasn’t a Marilyn Manson video. The editor of the company that put it out was somebody who’s edited my videos, that video was something that was done with a camera that Eli (Roth – director), who’s my friend, and I both wanted to test out, so I let him test it out […] what they filmed was put in context seemingly as if it were a Marilyn Manson video, and that was in no way the intention.” Watch the full clip below.
Meanwhile, Manson is set to start a worldwide tour in January in support of his new album, with dates in the US, Canada, Australia, and France. The singer will also play Download festival in June.
