Marilyn Manson teams up with Mr Oizo on new single ‘Solid’ – listen

Goth rocker collaborates with French producer on unlikely duet

Marilyn Manson has revealed an unlikely duet with Mr Oizo on the French producer’s new single ‘Solid’.

The song, which sees Manson repeat the line “You look like shit when you dance”, is taken from the musician’s forthcoming new EP ‘Amicalement’, which is set for release on July 1 and is currently streaming at Rolling Stone. Oizo, whose real name is Quentin Dupieux and scored a UK Number One Single in 1999 with his track ‘Flat Beat’, released his last studio album ‘Stage 2’ in November 2011.

Earlier this month, rapper Gucci Mane revealed that he had teamed up with Manson to record a track titled ‘Fancy Bitch’. He claimed the song was “the dopest record in the world”, adding: “He’s cool as hell, I fuck with him hard. He ain’t the averagest white boy. He’s got swag. Me and him together, he don’t get on my nerves. I can stomach being around him. He cool.”

Marilyn Manson also recently completed another surprising collaboration after it was revealed he had recorded a track with Avril Lavigne. The song, which is titled ‘Bad Girl’, is set to be included on her new album, which will be released later this year.

In January of this year, it was revealed that Manson – who released his latest studio album ‘Born Villain’ in May 2012 – planned to sue a woman who claimed to be engaged to him and then branded him ‘pro-Nazi’ when he asked her to leave him alone.

Yolanda Tharpe is being sued by Manson over five claims of defamation, misappropriation of common law right of publicity, unlawful use of Manson’s name for commercial advantage and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress with the shock rocker seeking £30,000 in compensation.

Tharpe also claimed that Manson is stalking her and is “responsible for the deaths of her two cats”.
