Mark Morrison arrested after nightclub fight in which he loses a platinum and diamond medallion...

MARK MORRISSON was arrested and had a platinum and diamond medallion stolen this weekend following a nightclub fight.

The star was kept behind bars overnight after an incident in the After Dark club, Leicester, on Saturday night (July 31).

The ‘Return Of The Mack’ singer claims that he was attacked and received “severe facial wounds”. He has also offered a £20,000 reward for the return of the stolen pendant.

Morrison said that he became so “agitated” that police arrested him.

He was later released on bail at about 11.30am on Sunday (August 1) after treatment for eye and lip injuries.

Morrison claims that the fracas occurred when a man punched him, ripped off the medallion and then ran to the nightclub exit.

According to BBC News, a police spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray. He’s been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”

“We are investigating an allegation of assault and robbery on a 32-year-old man,” the police said. “The incident took place in a nightclub in Church Gate in Leicester at about 0030 BST on Sunday 1 August. Enquiries are continuing.”

After Dark club owner Wayne Springer said: “The doormen were alerted to the main bar in the club where both parties got ejected.”
