Mark Ronson breaks own ‘Uptown Funk’ streaming record again as it enters third week at Number One

George Ezra's 'Wanted On Voyage' reclaims Number One spot in albums chart

Mark Ronson has broken his own streaming record with ‘Uptown Funk’ again.

The Bruno Mars-featuring track became the first track in UK history to break two million weekly streams in the race for Christmas Number One.

Last week (December 28), Ronson broke that record of 2.34 million streams as the song was streamed 2.49 million times. Now, as the Official Charts Company reports, ‘Uptown Funk’ was streamed 2.56 million times this week, setting a new all-time high.

‘Uptown Funk’ is still at Number One in the Official Singles Chart for a third week in a row, while Nottingham-based DJ Philip George claims this week’s highest new entry with his Stevie Wonder-sampling track ‘Wish You Were Mine’ at Number Two. Ed Sheeran, X Factor winner Ben Haenow and Taylor Swift complete the Top Five respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Official UK Albums Chart, George Ezra has toppled Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ from the top spot, as ‘Wanted On Voyage’ returns to Number One. For a second week running there were no new entries in the album chart.
