Mark Tuan returns with psychedelic music video for new single ‘save me’

It comes two weeks after his previous single, 'lonely'

Mark Tuan has unveiled his latest single, ‘save me’.

The Taiwanese-American musician, who is also a member of K-pop group GOT7, dropped the new song today (April 7), alongside an official video for the track. The clip features Tuan performing the song in the middle of a dark room, illuminated only by psychedelic purple lighting.

“Cause I’m too fucked up / And I’m too crazy / If you love me / Please just save me,” he sings on the chorus.

‘save me’ was co-written by Tuan himself alongside frequent collaborator lilspirit, who also worked with the singer on his past solo material, as well as produced the song. The track was also co-produced by OVRCZ, Western Weiss and Sean Silverman.

‘save me’ is one of two new songs Tuans previously teased on Twitter. On March 16, Tuan took to his Twitter to ask fans which song they thought he should release first, giving them an option between the songs ‘lonely’ and ‘save me’. Following an overwhelming response from fans, Tuan later announced that both singles would be released.

Late last month, the singer released the first single, ‘lonely’, alongside an accompanying “visualiser”, which sees Tuan performing from a solitary, black couch in the middle of an otherwise empty room, with the word “lonely” written across the floor.

Tuan made his first foray into English music as a soloist in November 2021 with ‘Last Breath’. That single was subsequently followed up by the song ‘My Life’, which was released in January.
