Maroon 5 announce UK and Ireland arena tour – ticket details

The 'Payphone' rockers will visit these shores in June next year

Maroon 5 have announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for next summer.

The pop band, who released their fourth album ‘Overexposed’ in June, will play five shows on the tour.

The dates begin at Birmingham LG Arena on June 22 and run until June 29 when the band play Dublin O2 Arena. They will also play shows at London O2 Arena on June 23, Manchester Arena on June 26 and Glasgow Braehead Arena on June 27.

Earlier this year, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine opened up about his dabblings with hallucinogenic drugs and revealed that he found taking magic mushrooms to be quite “beneficial”.

Speaking about experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs, Levine said: “I definitely, firmly believe that the experience I had on mushrooms made me understand certain things about myself that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise.”

He continued: “What I took away from that experience was valuable and beneficial to me. It really forced me to look at myself.”

He then went on to add that he’d never abuse those kind of drugs, for fear he may end up as a “fucking psychotic maniac”.

He added: “It’s so corny to say but it’s true; you just get in touch with the wonderment you have as a kid that you tend to lose. Obviously if you abuse a drug like that you’ll never come back and end up as a fucking psychotic maniac.”

Maroon 5 will play:

Birmingham LG Arena (June 22)
London O2 Arena (23)
Manchester Arena (26)
Glasgow Braehead Arena (27)
Dublin O2 Arena (29)
