Singer apologises after PA breaks down at Toronto gig
Footage has emerged online of a fan being struck by Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine’s microphone during a gig in Toronto.
Stephanie Green was bruised but unhurt when Levine threw down the mic after the PA broke down at the Air Canada Centre.
However, it bounced off the stage and struck her in the head. You can watch the clip, which surfaced on US gossip site TMZ, by scrolling below.
The video then shows Levine apologising to the fan, before bringing her on stage and giving her a hug.
“In my flustered state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the ground, into poor, sweet Stephanie’s face,” Levine told the crowd.
“I felt so utterly terrible that I had perhaps wounded this young fan.”
Levine, who is currently a coach on US version of The Voice, then gave her a ringside seat for the remainder of the gig.
The rapper adds a verse at the start of the song on the new version.
The original version of the track reached No 3 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was only recently released in the UK. It features on Maroon 5’s current album ‘V’.
Levine and Minaj both released their own clothing range at Kmart in 2013.
Maroon 5 are currently on tour in America before they head over to the UK in May.
