Mary J. Blige plans ‘Love Soul’ tour

Dates kick off September 13 in North Charleston

Mary J. Blige has announced the initial dates of ‘The Love Soul’ tour, kicking off September 13 in North Charleston, SC.

The tour, featuring special guest Robin Thicke, will support Blige’s eighth studio album ‘Growing Pains’, released in December 2007, selling 800,000 copies within two weeks.

The Neptunes were among the producers of the album, and guests featured include Usher and Ludacris.


Meanwhile, Blige is on board for a single ‘Just Stand Up’ which will benefit the ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ charity. Produced by LA Reid and Babyface, the single also features contributions from Rihanna, Beyonce and Leona Lewis, among others,
