Best known for designing and creating the first commercial analogue synthesizer, Moog produced a range of electronic instruments, which have been used by artists such as Kraftwerk, New Order, The Cure, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode and Radiohead.

Bob Moog changed the course of music as we know it,” organiser Ashley Capps said in a statement. “He put new worlds of sound literally at the fingertips of musicians, unleashing a creative revolution. We’re thrilled and honored to be able to celebrate his extraordinary legacy in the place that he called home and we hope to do so for many years to come.”

In addition to the music a number of workshops, panel discussions, visual art exhibitions and film screenings will also take place as part of the event.

Tickets for Moogfest go on sale from July 30, for more information visit Moogfest.com.
