3-D gets his brush out for James Lavelle's "statement"...

UNKLE‘s JAMES LAVELLE has put together a short “anti-war” film that features paintings by Massive Attack.

UNKLE‘s Lavelle has been working with the animation team Shynola to create the short film, which features a number of paintings by Massive Attack founder 3-D.

A spokesperson for UNKLE‘s Lavelle’s management told Creative Review magazine: “First and foremost it was intended as an anti-war statement. The idea is to release this as a film, rather than a promo. It’s not about selling millions of records – it’s about making a statement.”

The clip is set to be shown at animation festivals across the world.
