The Cardiff trio call it a day...

CARDIFF trio Mclusky have split up.

The band, who recently completed a tour of the UK, made the announcement on their website.

A statement by singer Andy Falkous read: “The three-piece rock band known as Mclusky have disbanded. The reason for this parting is private, though probably not as entertaining as you’d imagine. Personally, I would like to thank all the people, places and times that occurred on or near us. I’m grateful for the love and to a lesser degree, the hate. There’ll be more music soon, from all of us.”

The band performed at last year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals before they released their last single ‘She Will Only Bring You Happiness’ through Too Pure in September 2004.

The band formed in 1999 and released three albums – ‘The Difference Between Me And You Is That I’m Not On Fire’, ‘Mclusky Do Dallas’ and ‘My Pain And Sadness Is More Sad And Painful Than Yours’.
