Megadeth enlist Metallica’s Lars Ulrich for album sleevenote duty

Drummer adds words to 'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?' reissue

Megadeth will be reissuing their classic album ‘Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?’ on July 11 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its original release.

The remastered and expanded edition of the 1986 effort will feature liner notes written by Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine as well as a contribution from Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich.

In an interview with Revolver Magazine Ulrich spoke about the original album and its affect on his career: “When ‘Peace Sells..’ came out in ’86, it just blew me away,” said the drummer.

“That was right up my alley,” he added. “That literally became my favorite record for a long time.”

Speaking about the two bands’ notorious feud – following Mustaine‘s departure from Metallica in 1983 – Ulrich revealed: “I’ve always admired him. He’s an incredibly talented musician.”

The ‘Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?’ reissue will feature a full-disc of a previously unreleased 1987 Megadeth concert, and be available as a two CD lift-top box, digital album, and a deluxe five-disc and three LP box set.
