Victoria Beckham had previously dashed hopes for a reunion, saying there would be no tour or new music
The girl group caused huge excitement recently when it was reported they were reuniting to record new music and play a series of new shows around the world.
However, Victoria Beckham later dashed hopes the iconic ’90s group were getting back together when she said: “There is no tour, no more music from the Spice Girls, but it was just great getting together with them.”
Now, Mel B has insisted the reunion is on, confirming it during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women earlier today (July 23). “For sure, we are getting back together,” she said. “We’re sisters at the end of the day and what we went through was quite an amazing, brilliant journey, so we’re together – we’re back together.”
She added that things hadn’t gone as smoothly as desired so far, though. “There’s one that’s been a bit difficult,” she said of her bandmates, likely referring to Beckham. “But she’s getting roped in.”
Meanwhile, a new Spice Girls exhibition will arrive in the UK later this summer. SPICEUP is described as “the biggest touring exhibition of Spice Girls memorabilia in the world.” As well as costume pieces, merchandise and memorabilia, it will also feature the Spice Bus, which was seen in the group’s movie, Spice World.
